The Christian road some choose to travel is a rocky one. We have challenges each day. Romans 5:3 says that we should rejoice in our struggles knowing that it helps us build endurance. Endurance builds character. Character builds confidence for salvation.
In God's eyes, we are all perfect; but I believe perfect in the bible means owning up to your mistakes and admitting what you've done. It also means knowing that you're not perfect by the worlds standards. We miss understand that meaning sometimes. I don't want to step on anyone's toes but church isn't for show-offs, pedestals, and masks; it's for real people; broken people asking God to heal them.
This road we Christians now travel today has been paved through the blood, sweat, and tears of the prophets and followers of Jesus Christ in times when there were no churches for Christians. Many dedicated Christians lost their lives because people were afraid of something other than what they believed. Times haven't changed since then. We still get scoffed at and mocked, but at least we get to keep our lives. My heroes are the people who made the changes regardless of what others thought and were active in their faith till death; Not the people who were too afraid to do anything and had a passive faith.
